Terms & Conditions – Aurora Net (Data SIM & Pocket WiFi) 📶📡

By purchasing, receiving, and/or using any Aurora Net product (Data SIM and/or Pocket WiFi), you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
1) Service Overview
- Data SIM: mobile data (internet) SIM card for use in Japan.
- Pocket WiFi: portable Wi-Fi router that allows multiple devices to share internet.
Important: the plan is subject to automatic renewal. To keep your internet service active, you must complete the monthly payment using the payment link sent to your registered email (or a QR code, depending on the purchase channel). If payment is not confirmed, the service may be suspended/blocked.
2) Data SIM – What You Can and Cannot Do
✅ You can
- Use mobile internet in Japan (data communication)
- Watch videos, use social media, maps, work/study, and apps
- Make voice/video calls and send messages via apps (LINE, WhatsApp, WeChat, etc.) using data
❌ You cannot
- Make/receive regular voice calls using the phone dialer
This is a data-only SIM. The phone dialer for regular calls is not supported.
Note: emergency calls (e.g., 110/119) typically require a voice service and may not work with this product.
3) Phone Number (070/080/090) and SMS
All SIM card orders include a Japanese phone number (070/080/090).
Important: this is a data-only SIM. The phone number is mainly intended for receiving SMS verification codes. Regular voice calls via dialer are not supported.
SMS fees
- Receiving SMS: available (e.g., verification codes)
- Sending SMS: not recommended (charged)
- SMS to Japan (+81): ¥10 per SMS sent
- International SMS: ¥100 per SMS sent
After setting up LINE/WhatsApp, please use in-app calls/messages via data.
4) How to Use (3 Steps)
- Insert the SIM into your device
- Configure APN settings (follow our video/manual)
- Start using the internet
Device requirements
- A SIM-free/unlocked device with an available SIM slot (dual-SIM recommended), or
- Combination of eSIM (for voice) + Aurora Net SIM (for data)
For iPhone (iOS), APN setup is recommended while connected to Wi-Fi.
5) Pocket WiFi (Shared Use)
Pocket WiFi is recommended if you want to share internet across multiple devices (home, work, team, travel).
- Typical simultaneous connections: 10 to 16 devices
Device availability/specifications (when applicable) will be shown on the product page and/or your order details.
6) Minimum Contract Term, Auto-Renewal, and Cancellation
You may choose a minimum contract term of 12, 24, or 36 months at the time of purchase.
- Contract term: 12 / 24 / 36 months.
- Auto-renewal: at the end of the selected term, the contract automatically renews for the same term (12→12, 24→24, 36→36).
- Cancellation request: must be submitted at least 1 month before the end of the term.
Examples:
- 12-month term: request cancellation in the 11th month to cancel at the end of the 12th month.
- 24-month term: request cancellation in the 23rd month to cancel at the end of the 24th month.
- 36-month term: request cancellation in the 35th month to cancel at the end of the 36th month.
Important: the contract renews automatically, but you must still complete the monthly payment via the payment link/QR to keep service active.
7) Early Termination / Late Cancellation Fee
If you cancel:
- before the end of the minimum contract term (12/24/36 months), or
- without the required 1-month notice,
a termination fee may apply. This fee may be equivalent to one or more monthly fees required to close the contract, depending on the plan conditions and remaining contract term.
8) Eligibility (Acceptance Rules)
Applications are accepted only for new customers, or existing customers who meet all of the following:
- No unpaid balance history with Aurora Net
- No prior suspension/block due to late payment
- No history of late renewal payment
Not accepted if:
- Any past non-payment for Aurora Net SIM/Pocket WiFi
- Any past late renewal payment
9) Payments (Initial & Renewals)
Initial fee: the initial fee is equivalent to the monthly fee (excluding tax). Consumption tax may apply as required by law and depending on the purchase channel.
✅ If purchased via Amazon
- First payment: prepaid via Amazon
- Monthly renewal: pay using the QR code included with the product
✅ If purchased via official website / other channels
- First payment: paid on the website at the time of order
- Monthly renewal: pay via the payment link sent to your registered email
⚠ Late Payment, Suspension, and Reactivation
- Suspension: if payment is not confirmed by the due date, the service may be suspended/blocked 3 to 5 days after the due date.
- Reactivation time: after payment confirmation, reactivation may take 24 hours up to 5 days.
- Express reactivation (within 24 hours): a fee of ¥1,000 may apply.
- Repeated late payment: if suspension due to late payment occurs more than 3 times, any discount may be removed, and/or the contract may be terminated automatically without prior notice.
Bottom line: pay on time to avoid suspension, fees, and contract issues.
10) How to Pay the Monthly Renewal
- Open the payment link
- Enter your email address
- Select a payment method (convenience store, credit card, etc.) and complete payment
⚠ Convenience store payments (important)
- Use your real full name
- Enter the correct email address
If incorrect, payment confirmation may not be possible.
11) Mandatory Rules
- Orders under a false name are not accepted
- After ordering, you must send your email address by SMS to our designated number (for confirmation and guidance)
- When renewing via convenience store, enter your full name and email accurately
12) Setup Support (Video/Manual)
After shipment, we will send a setup video link and, if needed, a manual to your registered email.
13) Cancellation Procedure
To cancel, you must follow Section 6 (submit request 1 month in advance) and:
- Send a cancellation request by message
- Pay the last month’s fee (if applicable)
- Use the service until the end of the paid/active period
- After the term ends, return the SIM card (return details will be provided by support)
14) Support (Message Only)
Support is available by message only (no phone support).

15) Shipping
- Carrier: Yamato (Nekopos)
- Estimated: 3–5 business days
- During peak periods: 3–15 business days
16) Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms for operational, technical, or legal reasons. The latest version will be published on this page.
17) Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
