Set up an eSIM on Android — general device guide
Xiaomi, Motorola, OPPO and other Android phones can use different menu names depending on the manufacturer and software version. First, confirm that your exact model supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked.
- Connect to Wi‑Fi.
- Open Settings and search for eSIM, SIM or SIM manager.
- Choose Add eSIM, Add SIM, Download SIM or the equivalent option shown by your phone.
- Use the QR code or another installation method provided with your eSIM.
- Complete the installation.
- Select the new eSIM for mobile data.
- Turn on data roaming only when your eSIM instructions require it.
APN
If the phone has signal but cannot browse, use the exact APN shown in your purchase email, My eSIM page or connection details for that eSIM. Do not enter a generic APN without checking the plan.
Can't find Add eSIM?
Stop there instead of forcing the setup. Confirm that your exact device model supports eSIM.
