Set up your eSIM on Google Pixel for use in Japan

Connect your Pixel to Wi‑Fi and make sure it supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. Do not delete the eSIM after installation.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Open Network & internet.
  3. Open SIMs or the option used to add a SIM.
  4. Choose Add SIM or the available eSIM setup option.
  5. Use the QR code or another installation method provided with your eSIM.
  6. Confirm the installation and wait for the new eSIM to appear.
  7. Select the Aurora Net eSIM for mobile data.
  8. Turn on roaming only when your eSIM instructions require it.

APN

If you have signal but no internet, use the exact APN shown in your purchase email, My eSIM page or connection details for that eSIM. APN settings are not necessarily the same for every plan.

Test the connection

Turn off Wi‑Fi and open a new page in Chrome. If it still does not connect, restart the Pixel and use the connection troubleshooting page.
