Set Up an eSIM on iPhone for Japan | Aurora Net
Set up your eSIM on iPhone for use in Japan
Add your Aurora Net eSIM using the installation method provided after purchase. Before you start, connect to Wi‑Fi and make sure your iPhone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. Do not delete an eSIM once it has been installed.
1. Add the eSIM
- On the iPhone that will use the eSIM, open your purchase email or My eSIM page.
- If you see a Quick Install or Install eSIM option, follow the on-screen flow.
- Confirm the prompts shown by iOS until the eSIM is added.
- Open Settings → Cellular and make sure the new line appears. If useful, label the new line “Aurora Net.”
2. Set up mobile data
- Keep your usual line as the default for calls, iMessage and FaceTime.
- Go to Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data and select Aurora Net.
- Turn off Allow Cellular Data Switching when you want to prevent your main line from being used for data.
- Turn on Data Roaming for the Aurora Net line only when your eSIM instructions require it.
APN
If an APN must be entered, use the exact APN shown in your purchase email, My eSIM page or connection details for that eSIM. APN settings can vary by plan, so do not replace the supplied value with a generic one. If the APN menu is not available on your iPhone, do not force a change.
3. Test the connection
Turn off Wi‑Fi and wait for 4G / LTE / 5G or another mobile network indicator. Then open a new page in Safari. Initial network registration can take a few minutes.
